A Scorpion's Tale

Scorpio art
Female Version

She peers into the depths of the ocean
But never sees its end.
She plunges into treacherous waters
Time and time again.
She knows truth lies far beneath the surface
Where the waters run clear.
Only there she'll find her sorceress soul
Beyond pretense and fear.
She dives down until her lungs burn for air,
And touches the hand of death.
Then explodes above the waves a moment —
Long enough to catch her breath.
When turbulent waters crash around her
Amid the gloom of night,
She seeks no safe haven from the storm
But feels her way through life.
Her piercing gaze penetrates the darkness
Both within and without —
Forever seeking her soul's true purpose —
To know what life's about.
